Should you pull on the Midori banner?
Pull on the Midori banner if you want a Long Sword main or simply like her: she is S tier and limited, so she will not join the standard banner later. Skip her if you are saving for a future Adventurer; the 90-pull pity count carries over between limited banners, so pulls you do not spend now still count toward the next one. The featured 120-pull guarantee does not carry over, so only commit to a limited banner if you are prepared to reach it.
Rhodes rotating banner
Rhodes is the only ice SSR at launch and counters Diablos and Odogaron, but he stays in the standard pool. Pull for him only if you need ice right now; otherwise you can pick him with the 300-pull standard exchange later.
Free pulls first on every banner
Before you spend Rutacoin, claim the free ones: the launch code on the codes page, the starter banner that guarantees an SSR within 50 pulls, and the free Adventurers listed on the Monster Hunter Outlanders tier list.
